Jake is the main character of Flat Mates. He is gay, but starts out the comic in the closet. He's a somewhat analitical person and he "makes his living" as a writer, though he is struggling.

Robert is Jake's flat mate (hence the title). He is an artist and is usually totally caught up in painting or sculpting, that is, when he's not flirting (and more) with the opposite sex.

Alex is Robert's workoholic art dealer. He's usually on the phone with his pager beeping. When he's not working, he's sleeping, but that doesn't happen as often as it should.

|
Samantha is Robert's high school sweetheart that he has not seen in two years.
|
|
Caleb is Sam's son. He's very playful and hyper.
